CJ Strike Camping Trip

6/30/10

We just got back from a fun 4 nights at CJ Strike. We camped with Dale & Becky and Dad, Bonnie, and Grandma Nonnie (who is 102). Mom and Phil came out for a night. They stayed by Black Sands. The kids all fished with Phil and caught fish right off. We made them kiss the fish while we took pictures. We camped at our old camp site "The Cove". It has probably been at least 10 years since we camped at this site. We have so many good memories of camp trips at Strike. We have been going there for over 20 years. Black Sands still has the same great food.

Dale & Becky have a beautiful new boat which was a lot of fun. We tubed, skied and wakeboarded. It is fun watching the kids learn new things and laugh and play in the sun. Kristen is learning to wakeboard. She is doing great. Ashley loves to kneeboard and ride the tubes. She is a daredevil on the tubes. Hallie keeps thinking she wants to learn to kneeboard, but she gets scared when her turn is up. She still loves the water and the boat. Some of my best times are just sitting on the boat on a hot day with everyone jumping off the boat to cool off and goof off. I think the kids have fun seeing us adults be goofy with them.

Bonnie, Becky, and I all made fajitas one night. It was fun all cooking and eating together. Dad is 68 and still wakeboarding. He is awesome!

I had fun with the kids doing a goofy dance routine every time the song "California Gurls" came on. Ashley and I were in the middle of the lake by ourselves one night just dancing on the boat. John said my dancing looks like Elaine's from Seinfeld
